Climate Zone: CEC Climate Zone 8 (north/inland Orange County). IECC Climate Zone 3B. Anaheim's climate is warmer than coastal OC but milder than the Inland Empire — 95°F cooling design and 36°F heating design. Inland north OC cities like Yorba Linda and Placentia are slightly warmer than Anaheim proper.

Energy Code & Manual J Requirement: California Title 24 Part 6 (2025 edition, effective January 1, 2026). ACCA Manual J required for residential HVAC sizing. All Anaheim and Orange County jurisdictions enforce Title 24. Orange County cities are increasingly adopting reach codes with all-electric mandates for new residential construction.
