Climate Zone: CEC Climate Zone 14 (Antelope Valley / LA County high desert). IECC Climate Zone 3B. Palmdale at 2,660' elevation is slightly higher than Lancaster, producing marginally cooler conditions: 102°F cooling design and 21°F heating design. Both are extreme dual demands for Southern California.

Energy Code & Manual J Requirement: California Title 24 Part 6 (2025 edition, effective January 1, 2026). ACCA Manual J required for residential HVAC sizing. All Palmdale and LA County jurisdictions enforce Title 24.
