Climate Zone: CEC Climate Zone 9 (east LA County / Pomona Valley). IECC Climate Zone 3B. Pomona's inland valley position produces hot summers — 100°F cooling design — and mild winters (31°F heating design). The valley's inland heat is amplified during Santa Ana wind events.

Energy Code & Manual J Requirement: California Title 24 Part 6 (2025 edition, effective January 1, 2026). ACCA Manual J required for residential HVAC sizing. LA County and San Bernardino County jurisdictions in the Pomona Valley all enforce Title 24.
