Climate Zone: CEC Climate Zone 12 (Sacramento Valley / Placer County). IECC Climate Zone 3B (hot-dry). Roseville's Sacramento Valley position produces hot, dry summers — 100°F cooling design — and mild winters (26°F heating design). Valley tule fog occurs in winter but is less persistent than central Sacramento.

Energy Code & Manual J Requirement: California Title 24 Part 6 (2025 edition, effective January 1, 2026). ACCA Manual J required for residential HVAC sizing. All Roseville and Placer County jurisdictions enforce Title 24. Roseville has been an early adopter of electrification-friendly building practices.
