Victorville Climate Zone & Energy Code

Climate Zone: CEC Climate Zone 14 (Inland High Desert). IECC Climate Zone 3B (hot-dry but with cold winters due to elevation). Victorville at 2,700' elevation has extreme temperature swings: 104°F cooling design and 21°F heating design — both significant loads that must be correctly sized.

Energy Code & Manual J Requirement: California Title 24 Part 6 (2025 edition, effective January 1, 2026). ACCA Manual J required for residential HVAC sizing. All Victorville and San Bernardino County jurisdictions enforce Title 24. High desert communities have their own climate inputs in Title 24 that differ significantly from lower-elevation communities.
