Climate Zone: IECC Climate Zone 2A (hot-humid). Tallahassee's north Florida Panhandle position produces hot, humid summers (95°F/77°F cooling design) and Florida's coldest winter design conditions (26°F heating design). Both cooling and heating are meaningful loads.
Energy Code & Manual J Requirement: Florida Building Code (Energy Conservation Chapter, IECC 2021). ACCA Manual J required for residential HVAC permits in Leon County and Tallahassee jurisdictions.
