Evansville Climate Zone & Energy Code

Climate Zone: IECC Climate Zone 4A (mixed-humid). Evansville's southern Indiana location produces a warmer climate than Indianapolis — hotter summers (93°F/74°F cooling design), higher humidity, and milder winters (8°F heating design) than northern Indiana.

Energy Code & Manual J Requirement: Indiana Residential Building Code (IECC 2018). ACCA Manual J required for Vanderburgh County HVAC permits. For Tri-State projects crossing into Kentucky or Illinois, additional state-specific requirements apply — I prepare documentation for the specific jurisdiction of each project.
